Description

Berberis vulgaris is a deciduous spiny shrub. Stem branched, 2 to 3 meters long. Leaves obovate, sessile arranged spirally on stem. Leaves margin ciliated. From each node 3 to 4 leaves born in cluster. Inflorescence a racemes, flower stalk long, arising from the axil of leaves. Flower yellow.Berries is red.
